These terms apply to the Pradakshina app (Pradakshina Counter: Parikrama) by Narne Labs. By using the app you agree to them. They are written plainly on purpose.
Using the app
Pradakshina is free and has no ads. Use it for your own walks and devotion. Please don't misuse it: don't try to break or overload our servers, copy temple photos or data from them in bulk, or add content that isn't yours to share.
The count and the calendar
- The count is usually exact, but a crowd or an unusual path can now and then add or miss a round. You can correct it with − and + as you walk, and confirm it when you finish.
- Panchangam times are calculated for where you are and can differ by a few minutes from your temple's almanac. For rituals, follow your temple or priest.
- Pradakshina is a counting aid, not religious guidance.
Your account
An account is optional. If you sign in with Google or Apple, keep that account secure; what is done with it is your responsibility. We may suspend an account that misuses photos or suggested fixes.
Photos and fixes you add
- You keep ownership of your photos. By adding one, you allow Narne Labs to store it, resize it and show it on that temple in the app, credited to you, for as long as it stays there.
- Add only photos you took yourself, where photography is allowed. Never photograph inside the sanctum, and avoid close-ups of people.
- Photos are reviewed before they appear, and we may remove any photo at any time. You can have yours removed by deleting your data or by writing to us.
- Suggested fixes may be used to correct the temple details everyone sees.
Temple information
Temple names, places and details come from Wikidata and OpenStreetMap contributors, stories from Wikipedia (under CC BY-SA) and photos from Wikimedia Commons and from people who use the app. This information can be incomplete or out of date, and opening hours can change, so check before you travel. Every source is credited in the app under Settings, Credits.
Walk safely
Keep your attention on where you walk and on the people around you. Follow each temple's rules. In a crowd, keep the phone in your pocket: it counts there.

No warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise that it always will be.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Narne Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages from using the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be excluded.
Changes and contact
